Hop along to Dalkeith Country Park this Easter for an action-packed range of Easter activities to enjoy.

Get the children outdoors this Easter with a visit to Fort Douglas in Dalkeith Country Park. If you’re looking for things to do with the kids during the Easter holidays you’ll find lots of extra activities in this magical adventure playpark – all included in the entry fee.

The sessions are designed for kids but might need a bit of adult help, so be prepared to get (a little) messy! Plus there is always coffee for the adults needing a bit of holiday-survival help in the Fort Douglas food and drink cabin.

Over the Easter weekend (19th to 22nd April) there will be a fantastic photo-opp with a giant Easter bunny, an exciting Easter egg hunt and Easter bonnet and crown making. There are also lots of other creative craft activities including spaghetti architecture, clay creatures, Easter forest faces, paper boat making, pebble painting, mini bug hotels and balloon twisting. Lose the après-craft mess factor from your home and let the kids take their egg creativity to the max with glitter, paint and cute animal accessories at Restoration Yard’s Egg Painting Workshops on 19th and 20th April.

And on 20th April Fort Douglas’ first outdoor cinema experience arrives with screenings of Toy Story and The Greatest Showman.

Fort Douglas is open 10am to 6pm | activities take place 11am to 3pm from 6th to 22nd April.
